Original deep maroon cloth, faded to light brown at backstrip. Brown coated endpapers. Illustrated with frontispiece and vignette engraving on tit le. BAL 21889 second binding (no priority stated). Monogram present on lower spine –first state binding, Merle Johnson. Very good.
