It was a case of ‘always the bridesmaid’ with the Pfalz D.XII, even though it as a capable fighter and produced in large numbers near the end of the First World War, it never escaped from the shadow of its more famous contemporary, the Fokker D.VII. Grosz’s monograph provides an excellent synopsis of the planes developmental and operational history, all the while providing the “modeller with unprecedented documentation for this classic fighter.” A clean, fresh, unmarked and near as new copy. Fine.
