Description
Hardcover, dark blue cloth in publisher’s non price-clipped dust-jacket. 271 pages. Index of Subjects. Reprint. As the author writes in his preface, “my intention was to write not on ethical and political theory, but on Hegel,” hence though the manuscript was complete by 1915 the author’s intent remained the same when the book was finally published in 1921 and “…no attempt was made to recast the Hegelian doctrine in the light of our present [postwar] knowledge.” No previous ownership marks. Not ex-library. Neat marginalia in pencil to approximately two dozen pages. Dust-jacket shows very mild wear and is lightly toned at spine, as per usual. A sound, tight and clean copy but for above. Near very good in a near very good dust-jacket.
