Hardcover, small folio sized volume [12″ tall] bound in blue denim colored cloth boldly lettered in gold, with large pictorial paste-down on upper cover in publisher’s non price-clipped dust-jacket protected by clear acetate cover. 197 pages. Presentation copy by publisher, signed D.R. Godine on first blank page. Illustrated with 133 black and white photographs. First, limited edition thus. One of a total edition of 6,250 copies, this being one of 5,000 of which 2,500 were bound as hardcover and 2,500 hundred as softcover. The entire text of the 1882 edition is here presented, augmented by many hitherto unpublished contemporary photographs. A fresh and unmarked copy in mildly edge-worn and toned dust-jacket which shows small damp-stain at very heel of spine. Fine in a near very good dust-jacket. Priority and International orders will require additional postage, calculated as close to actual coast as possible.
