Catalog for Christie’s South Kensington Tuesday 20 June, 1995 sale, COR-6882. 50 pages containing 175 lots, illustrated with monochrome and color photographs, as well as 89 vignette monochrome photographs of makers marks. Each lot has a brief text description and a notation identifying the numbered photograph which it describes. Auction estimates provided in pounds Sterling. “Satsuma pottery was made in, or around Kagoshima in Kyushu, Japan in the later part of the 19th century, through to the early 1920’s in Satsuma in southern Japan”. Roughly half of the lots half price realized written in pen next to the entry, with others showing single peb stoke through text description. Still a tight, solid and otherwise clean copy. Good.
