Index, facsimile of original title-page (1692), and a genealogy of O’Kelly on p. 505 of the Appendix. First edition. Edited from four English copies and a Latin MS., with notes and a memoir of the author and his descendants, by John Cornelius O’Callaghan. Text in English with quotations and references in French and Latin. Published by subscription for members of the Irish Archaeological Society, this copy being printed for the Rev. Edward Cupples. No previous ownership marks. Staining to rear cover, bleeding onto spine, which has faded to light brown. not affecting gilt lettering. A tight, sound and otherwise unmarked copy. Hinges strong, wide margined pages free of underlining, marginalia or foxing. A nice copy of a very scarce title in the original printing. Very good.
