Hardcover, black cloth lettered on spine in yellow, in publisher’s unpriced, non clipped dust-jacket. 336 pages. Selected, Annotated Bibliography. Edition unknown, possibly a book club issue. A collection of 32 complete stories representing twelve classic Golden Age strips and their characters. Nearly 300 pages illustrated in full color, “among them the very first appearances of Superman, Batman, Pogo Possum;” plus such characters as “…Captain marvel, Donald Duck and His Uncle scrooge, the Spirit, and the fantastic Plastic Man.” There are even two stories from the early Mad Magazine. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh and unmarked copy. Dust-jacket shows light wear with small closed tear to upper rear panel. Fine in a still very good dust-jacket.
