Large format elephant folio bound in color pictorial white cloth and heavy mylar dust-jacket with title printed in blue and green on front and rear cover respectively. Pages unnumbered. First edition, special limited, signed and numbered copy with acetate strip bound in just before colophon page; number 270/1,000 copies, signed by artist LeRoy Neiman. This title represents an artistic retrospective of Neiman’s visit to Brazil in 1981 for Carnaval and is illustrated throughout in the artist’s uniquely frenzied and colorful style, many the paintings being double page. No previous ownership marks. Mylar jacket slightly smaller than book as per usual, though not adhered to covers as is typical with this title. Jacket is complete with no tears or chips and is otherwise well preserved. Book is clean, tight, fresh and unmarked but for a touch of incidental marking to lower front cover. A very nice copy, near fine in a near fine dust-jacket. Large oversize volume will require extra postage for Priority and International orders, postage charged at actual cost.
