First American edition, first printing. Comic novel set during World War II on the Dingle Peninsula along the Kerry coast. Book is clean, sound, tight and unmarked. Dust-jacket shows moderate wear with small tape repair on verso at heal of spine and mild evidence of moisture to lower edge of rear panel. Near very good in a good dust-jacket, with very scarce signature.
