Description

Large hardcover, lacks publisher’s dust-jacket. 143pp., First edition, first printing thus, reprinted with the cooperation of the Department of Defense and the Historical Division, the Air University of the United States Air Force from the original edition published nine years earlier. Introduction by Telford Taylor. Book protected by reinforced mylar covers that have been affixed to inside of front and rear boards. Not an ex-libris copy, from a private collection. Inside mylar, affixed to paper backing is artwork and letterpress depicting numerous German warplanes of the period, as well as images and descriptions of a British Hurricane and Spitfire. In essence a ersatz dust-jacket, well produced, with title professionally printed on spine. A very clean, square, fresh and unmarled copy. New York Times obituary for Adolf Galland laid-in loose, with some minor toning resulting to paper backing not covered by mylar. Black endpapers are unaffected. A near fine copy in a nicely produced jacket. Scans sent on request.
