Description
Large format paperback, staple bound in white pictorial covers. 36 pages plus covers. Profusely illustrated with 93 rare archive black and white photographs; 6 pages of detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings by Ian R. Stair and four color profiles by Ray Rimell on rear cover. “Fabric: Camouflage and Markings” essay by Ray Rimell and Appendices round out this issue. First edition. Originally designed as a racing airplane it was adapted for military use as the Nieuport 10. Its sesquiplane design (literally 1 and a half wing, with the lower wing being less than half the surface area of the upper wing) was its most unique design feature. Deployed as a reconnaissance aircraft it also later served in the roles of fighter and trainer. An excellent resource for the scale-modeler and airplane enthusiast. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh and unmarked copy, near like new. Fine.
