Description
Large format paperback, staple bound in glossy pictorial covers. 36 pages plus covers. Illustrated with rare archive black and white photographs, which include several close-ups; detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings by Ian R. Stair and three color profiles by Ray Rimell on rear cover. In addition to technical and operational data, Ray Rimell once again pens a shot essay on “Colours and Markings” at the end of the book, followed by an appendices. Second edition. This Datafile entry on the Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5, a British biplane fighter aircraft, profiles one of the fastest aircraft of the war, which never-the-less remained stable and relatively manoeuvrable. Though its operational life was short, due to it being a late entry into the conflict, in its ultimate form it had an oversize influence on the allied victory. An excellent resource for the scale-modeler and airplane enthusiast. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh, unmarked copy with sharp corners and no creases, as new. Fine.
