Description
Large format paperback, staple bound in glossy pictorial covers. 36 pages plus covers. Illustrated with 70 archive black and white photographs and 21 close-ups; detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings by Ian R. Stair and three color profiles by Ray Rimell on rear cover. Third edition. Going by the sobriquet ‘the flying razar blade’, the D.VIII entered service to late to make a large impact on the air-war but has remained a modelers favorite, in no small part being responsible for this third edition when no other editions were planned. This Datafile, in addition to the series usual abundance of photographs, scale drawings, technical and historical prose and color profiles, includes “unique interior images of the sole survivor in Italy during its lengthy restoration process.” And no Datafile would be complete without Ray Rimell’s essay on “Colours and Markings” at the end of the book. An excellent resource for the scale-modeler and airplane enthusiast. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh, unmarked copy with sharp corners and no creases, as new. Fine.
