Description
Large format paperback, staple bound in glossy pictorial covers. 36 pages. Profusely illustrated with 64 archive photos (black and white) with a further 46 close-up detail color views of Hendon’s preserved DH9A and a typical Liberty V-12 motor. Doug Carrick contributes his carefully-created 1:48 scale plans while Ronny Bar provides three pages of detailed color profiles. First edition. The AMC [Airco] DH.9A was a British single-engined light bomber that was designed and first used shortly before the end of the First World War. An improvement on the underpowered DH.9, it saw extensive use in post war colonial service. This is the second of John Alcorn’s two-volume study of the rugged de Havilland day bomber and concentrates primarily on the machines post-war history. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh, unmarked copy with no creases, like new. Fine.
