Additional refinements include bound in silk ribbon marker, raised spine hubs and specially commissioned marbled end-papers by Richard J. Wolfe. This special limited edition was prepared from the first edition English translations of 1757 courtesy of the Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. First edition thus of a limited edition, this being number 921, with original subscriber’s personalized book-plate, bearing limitation number, laid in loose and accompanied by a small publisher supplied booklet entitled “Notes From the Editor”. A clean, fresh, unmarked and like new copy.
