Description
Hardcover, heavily blind-stamped cloth, lettered in gold on upper cover and spine, no dust-jacket. 404 pages. Four pages of publisher’s ads appended. Third printing. Originally published in the Saturday evening post, of Philadelphia, as advice to young men as to their conduct and character. The author was an American historian and US senator from Indiana. Not exactly Chesterfield’s letters, but an interesting perspective on the times in which they were written No previous ownership marks. A clean, square, and unmarked copy. Very good+.
