Illustrated with numerous full page color plates of various types of Imari porcelain, as well as black and white photographs . The book is divided into three distinct sections, the first and containing several in depth articles beginning with “The World of Japanese Porcelain” and “The Kilns of Hizen Porcelain – Kutani”, as well as discussing other regional manufacturers. Section two deals with Imari and Kakiemon porcelains for export. The third section deals with five modern potters who uphold the traditions of Imari, Kakiemon, Nabeshima and Kutani. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh, tight, unmarked copy in excellent condition. Near fine.
