First published in 1895, it features five stories about Mowgli and three unrelated stories, all but one set in India, most of which Kipling wrote while living in Vermont. All of the stories were previously published in magazines in 1894-5, often under different titles.” [Wikipedia] Previous owner’s armorial style book-plate onside front cover along with very small bookseller’s label. Evidence of label removed from front free end-paper in the form of light brown horizontal mark. a clean, tight, fresh and unmarked copy with several small spots to rear a cover. Very good.
