Hardcover, quarto bound in brick red cloth letered in gold, with rectangular pictorial onlay on front cover and image of standing priest on spine. T.e.g. 341pp. Illustrated with 186 vignette drawings and full page plates by author. No name, no book-plate, etc. Two blank leaves at rear creased at lower corners. General light wear and age dulling to cloth. Else a good+ copy with strong hinges, clean interior and bright gilt on spine and front board. A surperior copy of a title usually found in poor condition.
