Description
Hardcover, quarter dark brown leather over marbled paper covered boards. T.E.G. 662 pages. Index, contains Glossary. Reprint edition, circa 1900 but no date specified. The Heart of Mid-lothian is the seventh of Sir Walter Scott’s Waverley Novels, written after the successful Rob Roy and originally published under the title Tales of My Landlord, 2nd series. Often regarded as the author’s finest novel, many editions contain the glossary as the dialogue is in Lowland Scots. No previous ownership marks. Spine and leather tips shows wear but volume is tight, clean and internally unmarked with no foxing, writing or other marks. A vintage copy with the appropriate patina of age. Good.
