The famous surgical autobiography of one of the fathers of modern surgery, penned in the latter quarter of the sixteenth-century and first published in English in 1634. Contains also a short biographical essay and brief Bibliography by the editor. No previous ownership marks. Book is clean, fresh and unmarked. Dust-jacket retains original price on inner flap and is complete but for two minor chips to lower extremity of rear panel. Fine in a very good dust-jacket.
