Additional refinements include bound in silk ribbon marker and specially commissioned marbled end-papers by Richard J. Wolfe. Includes a foreword by Wilder Penfield, a chronology of Thomas Willis and list of his writings, and two essays: “The Origins and Significance of Cerebri Anatone” by William Feindel and “A Note on Pordage’s Translation” by Lloyd Stevenson, followed by a complete facsimile of the first English edition, (1681), “The Remaining Medical Works of that Famous and Renowned Physician Dr. Thomas Willlis….”. Illustrated with 13 plates in the prefatory material and 14 in the facsimile (including the portrait frontispiece and three large fold-out plates).
