Description
Hardcover, black cloth spine over tan paper covered boards. Front board lettered in red with black borders and has facsimile of Dunsany’s signature in black. Book block untruimmed and paper browned at extremities as per usual. Gold lettering on spine partially rubbed away on head [title] and heel [publisher], albeit author’s name at center is fine. Known mostly for his fantastic tales, this is Dunsany’s personal account of his experiences in the Great War, told in 32 short essays. A nice collectable copy with square corners and clean boards. Previous owners name on half-title with date stamped Aug. 13, 1924. Very good+.
