Paperback, mustard yellow card stock with large die-cut reveal on front cover exposing the self-portrait stereograph of O’Sullivan taken in Panama in 1870. Short introductory essay by authors, followed by a brief appreciation penned by Ansel Adams. Chronology appended. Illustrated with 40 photographs from the Civil War through the photographers expeditions to the American southwest in the 1870’s. No previous ownership marks. Not ex-library, from a private collection. A tight, clean, sound and unmarked copy. Very good.
