Special edition published by special arrangement with Coward McCann, Inc. No date but original copyright, (1931). Copyright page has all points for Coward McCann first edition, but title page has E.M. Hale imprint. No date provided but our experience is that these special editions were often printed within a short time after the true first edition appeared. This copy most likely mid 1930’s. Wanda Gag’s story of two field mice and their adventures in the big wide world, published three years after her very successful “Millions of Cats”. No previous ownership marks. A clean, sound, tight and unmarked copy, lacking dust-jacket. Very uncommon thus. Near fine.
