Two volume set consisting of various numbers of the periodical “The History of the Second World War”, issued in 96 parts, rebound in black cloth lettered in gold on spines. Titled Ostfeldzug [Eastern Campaign] the issues concentrate on the struggles on the Eastern front beginnig with “The Red Army Before Barbarossa” and concluding at the end of volume II with “The Death of Adolf Hitler”. Extensively illustrated in color and black and white. Volume I contains material for 1941-1943; volume II material freom 1943 to 1945. Professionally rebound without original card covers. Evidence of glue show through on some pages. An interesting and unique compilation of articles and illustrations parsed from Michael Cavenish’s encycolpedic history of the war. A very good set.
