Description
Large oblong octavo paperback bound with traditional ribbon ties. Unpaginated. Illustrated with a color map and 42 color photographs captioned in both English and Japanese. Prefatory note, dealing with the history of the shrine, in Japanese only. Reprint edition, date unknown. The Nikko Tosho-gu (Shinto Shrine) is part of a 55 structure temple complex and is the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate (1603-1868). Paper cover moderately worn and age soiled. First several leaves show old damp stains along bottom edge extending into prefatory note, albeit not affecting photographs or captions. A worn copy, though still solid and tight with clean photos and captions. Good.
