Description

Hardcover, slim oblong quarto size volume bound in marbled paper covered boards and quarter burgundy cloth, lettered in gold on spine. One of a special edition of 80 copies printed for the Armour and Arms Club of New York City. Reproduced in facsimile with preface and notes by Stephen V. Grancsay. Contians Bibliography and facsimile plates. This copy printed for Lewis C. Winant, with his name written in pen on limitation page. Winant was a dealer and expert on early firearms and an author on the subject, whose most well know title is “Firearms Curiosa”. A nice association copy. We believe the book was originally issued in a slipcase, which is lacking. There is very incidental wear/rubbing to tips and spine ends, else a clean tight, and unmarked copy of a very scarce title, one of a very short press run. Near fine.
