First edition. Purple cloth in original white pictorial dust-jacket. 254 pages. Illustrated with caricatures of various Londoners. Coated stock used for plates has wrinkled, as per usual with this book. Dust-jacket darkened at backstrip and generally age soiled, with small closed tear to lower rear panel. A book whose high acid paper is usually found foxed and toned, this copy very clean, inside and out, but for dust-jacket. Very good+ in good jacket.
