Hardcover, a married set with Vol. I bound in beige cloth and Vol. II in dark blue cloth. Ex-library copies with spine number removed on vol. I and white spine number visible on vol. II. 199 and 363 pages respectively. Index in both vols. First Methuen edition, with same copyright date and no additional printing on copyright page. But for spine numbers, numbers on both copyright pages, evidence of small label removed in inside rear cover of both volumes and British Council book-plate inside front cover of Vol. I there are no other markings. Covers are sound and tight, hinges strong and text unmarked. A good+ set. .
