The garden was created during the 16th century.” André Pieyre de Mandiargues was a French poet who wrote an essay devoted to Bomarzo, one of many artists attracted the garden. Private gift inscription on front end-paper. Else book is clean, tight and unmarked. Dust-jacket is complete, albeit slightly edge-worn and with tear to front panel now clear tape repaired on verso. A scarce title in still serviceable dust-jacket. Very good in a good dust-jacket.
