Description

Hardcover, large folio size volume bound in black blind-stamped cloth, no dust-jacket as issued. Unpaginated (320 pages). Single line quote by the photographer/author used as an introduction, else no other text. Illustrated on nearly every page with full color, graphically explicit color photographs by Terry Richardson featuring women, transsexuals and himself. First edition. Richardson was a prominent portrait and fashion photographer whose work appeared in GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar among others. Beginning in 2001 Richardson has been accused multiple times of sexual misconduct. The graphic pornographic content of this book seems to be an early rebuttal of those charges by the photographer, if only through its use of blatantly outrageous sexist and degrading imagery. As yet there has been no resolution regarding the accusations against Mr. Richardson, though for the past decade most of the high end publications for whom he shot photo-spreads have distanced themselves. X-rated. For sale to persons 18 years or older. No previous ownership marks. A clean, tight, unmarked copy. Near fine. A large heavy book, media mail only unless prior arrangements made.
