Description
Large format paperback, staple bound in pictorial covers. 36 pages plus covers. Illustrated with black and white photographs; detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings by Steve Simkins and three color profiles by Ray Rimell on rear cover. First edition. Developed and manufactured by the Austro-Hungarian branch of the German aircraft company Aviatik, the D.I was the first fighter designed in Austria-Hungry to enter LFT service. The design saw many variants, which “Steve Simkins many scale drawings are a further aid to modellers striving to sort out all the different configurations.” [Foreword]. An excellent resource for the scale-modeler and airplane enthusiast. No previous ownership marks. A tight, unmarked copy with sharp corners and no creases. White covers quite toned, which inexplicably seems to affect this Datafile issue more than others. Else a solid, still very good copy.
