Focusing primarily, though not exclusively, on the work of photographers who made the depiction of the male nude their principle focus, the present work is “the first attempt to sketch the history of the male nude in photography and to illustrate , through exemplary pictures, the iconographic and stylistic development of this theme.” No previous ownership marks. A clean, tight, unmarked and near like new copy. No faults, albeit not crisp like a new copy. Near fine in a fine dust-jacket protected by Brodart clear cover.
