Opening with a critical and historical survey of the watercolor genre in England and France, the author then turns to the main section containing ‘the artists’ with over two dozen highlighted by representations of their work mounted on rectos and accompanying letter-press. The last section comprises shorts biographies of some thirty artists, each accompanied by a small portrait vignette. No previous ownership marks. Mild toning to white jacket and sporadic light foxing largely limited to margins of text pages. Plates are clean and unmarked. A clean, square, unmarked copy in a complete [but for price-clipped inner flap] dust-jacket. Very good in a near very good dust-jacket.
