Translated from the French by Alan McKay. Contains a list of abbreviations and a glossary. First edition. The first volume of two by the authors, providing a general overview of the Armee de l’Air from September,1939 until its dissolution in November 1942. Arranged alphabetically, the present volume examines the machines produced by manufactures from Amiot to Curtiss, while also including foreign aircraft under French cockades, purchased abroad. No previous ownership marks. A very well preserved copy with sharp corners, no spine creasing and giving the appearance of not having been read. Covers and pages are clean, book is tight and unmarked. A fine copy.
