Illustrated with monochrome reproductions of contemporary engravings and pictures, as well as four full page maps each relating to one tour. Presumed first printing. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh and remarkably well preserved copy of this very scarce window into the haunts of Whitman, Melville and Poe, brought to life some one-hundred and fifty years after they strolled the streets and avenues below 14th street in New York City. As new.
