This special limited edition was prepared from the first edition of 1883, courtesy of the Harvey Cushing / John Jay Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. First edition thus of a limited edition, this being number 921, with original subscriber’s personalized book-plate, bearing limitation number, affixed to blank verso of front free end-paper. A clean, fresh, copy with a touch of wear to gilt edge at top, else as new. Conservatively rated near fine.
