Charles Dickens’ Original Autograph copy of his letter to Henry Colburn upon the controversy occasioned by the contribution of Walter Savage Landor to Pic Nic Papers, together with a note to Forster on that subject April 1st, 1841. Cloth covers containing tipped-in facsimile letter and 15 pages of commentary by Clark. Untrimmed, deckle edged. Small bookplate of J. Steele, Coldstream Guards, affixed inside front board. A very nice copy of an exceedingly scarce Dickens item. Not in Podeschi.
