This special limited edition was prepared for the subscriber’s to The Classics of Modern Medicine Library, utilizing the first edition of 1905 courtesy of the Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. Original owner’s book-plate affixed to blank verso of front free marbled end-paper, indicating that this is copy 921. Publisher’s 13 page explanatory pamphlet “Notes from the Editors” laid-in loose. First edition thus. A single short scratch to gilt at bottom edge, else a clean, fresh, unmarked and like new copy. Fine.
