Includes bound in silk ribbon marker, marbled end-papers and all edges gilt. 448 pages. Special limited edition, prepared from the first trade edition of 1925. First edition thus. Lewis’ actually won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1926 for Arrowsmith but declined it. His titular character, the science oriented physician Martin Arrowsmith, however, went to enjoy rousing public success in radio, film and television. No previous ownership marks.
