Leigh (1866 – 1955) was a well know artist who began his career as a south-western artist by producing a painting for the railroad of the Grand Canyon. He became famous for his western scenes, oft times referred to as the ‘sagebrush Rembrandt’. Spine strip completely separated at upper joint, albeit present and hinges solid. Private ref. number on top of half-title page. Mild age toning to extremities of burlap covers. Brief pencil marks to margins. A sound and internally clean copy of a nice signed association copy from one of the leading experts on south-western Indian textiles to an equally famous artist of the same region. A fair to good copy.
