Two large hardcover volumes bound in red cloth and lettered in gold on spines, containing over 750pp.s of text and illustrations. Both volumes protected by reinforced mylar covers that have been pasted to inside of front and rear boards. Evocative wrap-around artwork inserted into mylar covers to form attractive ersatz dust-covers, with title printed in knock-out white lettering on spines. A compliation of various isues of a military periodical [unidentified] containing numerous articles about the Great War by various authors, including: John Keegan; Brian Jones; Alistar Horne; Arthur Swinson; et alia. Profusely illustrated with photographs, maps and artwork in color and black and white. The set consists of dozens of individual issues, professionally rebound without original wrappers. Vol. I sub-titled The Western Front 1914-16; Vol. II The Western Front 1917-18. Only those issues pertaining to the Western Front have been included from the original publication, leaving gaps in the pagination. No previous ownership marks. Not ex-library.
