Hardcover, dark blue cloth lettered in gold on spine. 232pp., 29 full page maps appended after text. Originally issued in stiff card wrappers this copy has been rebound in hardcover by the War Office with their stamp on half-title — HM Forces library stamp [and subsequent ‘withdrawn stamp’ from their collection]. Housed in pictorial dust-jacket supplied by previous owner, professionally done with title on spine in reverse white lettering and years 1941 – 1945 printed in red. Jacket protected by reinforced mylar covers. Color photograph of German gun train [horse led] on front free endpaper and color photo of German transport difficulties affixed to rear free endpaper. Mylar covers are pasted to inside book covers. A very clean, square, unmarked copy. No writing, underlining or marginalia present. Covers are clean and sound, hinges strong. A very good copy in attractive, unique jacket.
