Additional refinements include bound in silk ribbon marker, raised spine hubs and specially commissioned marbled end-papers by Richard J. Wolfe. This special limited edition facsimile was prepared from the first edition of 1722 courtesy of the Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. First edition thus of a limited edition, this being number 921, with original subscriber’s personalized book-plate, bearing limitation number, affixed to blank verso of front free end-paper. Else a clean, fresh and unmarked copy, near fine.
