Hardcover, full dark navy blue leather with gilt borders on both covers and author’s initials at lower fore-edge of front cover; raised spine stamped and lettered in gold. 1120 pages. All edges gilt. With silk ribbon marker bound in, light blue silk moire end-papers and original publisher issued COA (in numbered envelope corresponding to limitation number in book laid-in loose. Signed, limited and numbered first edition, stated first printing; number 2232/2,500 signed by Nixon on limitation page. No previous ownership marks. Silk moire end-papers show toning to pink at extremities, as per usual. A clean, sound, fresh and unmarked copy with all gilt stamping and edges unmarred and leather binding bright and unmarked. Fine.
