Hardcover, pastel blue cloth with large yellow background color cover paste-down. 261 pages. Black and white illustrations by John R. Neill, of which nearly all have been colored in by former owner [crayon?] with some skill. No offsetting present, amateurish but well executed. Later printing circa late 1930’s with no titles listed on the verso of ownership page, Reilly & Lee imprint on title-page and lower spine. No previous ownership marks. Cloth covers and paste-down are clean, sound and tight, with age fading to spine and several small blemishes on rear cover. Interior is tight with strong hinges and no marking to text. Overall a nice copy of this, the fifth book in the OZ series. Near very good. Hanff & Greene V. Scans of interior sent on request.
