Hardcover, blue cloth, no duat-jacket. 287pp., Index. 8 page publisher’s catalog appened at rear. Illustrated with 29 photographs [including color frontispiece] and 3 maps. Early printing, 6th thousand. Book protected by reinforced mylar cover that have been pasted to inside of front and rear boards into which a color illustration has been added covering front board and spine. Title knocked out on white on spine. Not an ex-library copy, from a private collection. No previous ownership marks. Colth faded, moreso on spine. Else book is square, clean and unmarked but for mild marginal foxing to publisher’s catalog and sporadic spots to foredge. A nice, solid copy of this uncommon account of the 10th Cruiser Squadron during the first World War, a unique naval force consisting of mostly unarmored liners, that successfully blockaded the the Central Powers and contributed significantly, though largely unacknowledged, to the Allied victory. Near very good.
