A portfolio of 16 color art cards [8 1/4″” x 6″], printed on heavy stock, complete. Published in Moscow. Text printed on interior of portfolio in Russian. Text on verso of each card in Russian and English. Housed in original tri-fold portfolio with title in Russian on one leaf and English on another. Part of a series published by the State Historical Museum on various aspects of Russia historical life as depicted in early illustrated manuscripts. No previous ownership marks. All images are clean, unmarked and uncreased. Light wear from use to portfolio, but no tears of chips. A very good copy of a scarce example of Soviet era non-political art. Russian edition, text in Russian. Captions on the verso of each illustration in Russian and English.
