Cloth. Actually 2 books in one. The first section contains epigrams, divided into four main catagories: Society and Instututions; Imaginatin, Heart and Will; Reflection and Philosophy; Religion. The second is a collection of short–at times only a paragraph–critiques of famous individuals and other topics. Some of the personalities that attract the author’s notice range from the Roman poets Virgil and Horace to 19th century literary giants Goethe and Thoreau. Very good.
